Nose Surgery Reviews

A nose revision I do not regret

My mouth used to look somewhat protruding. From the side, my protruding mouth was quite severe. Since I had already had my nose done once, I originally wondered whether I needed jaw-repositioning surgery, but I thought it might improve if I had revision surgery to lengthen the nose, so I started looking into it.

Although my nose had been operated on, it had gradually become somewhat crooked and asymmetrical over time T_T I asked them to remove the short-looking impression from my nose in profile and make only the protruding-mouth appearance look more attractive.

Compared with other clinics, Dr. Im Ji-hong at [Clinic A] listened carefully to my opinions all the way through. I also felt that our preferences matched well in terms of design, so I decided on him.

He corrected the nasolabial angle and columella, and performed osteotomy. For the nasal tip, he used auricular cartilage and autologous costal cartilage. At first, the area where the autologous costal cartilage was harvested hurt more than my nose T_T But it became much better after about a week.

If you are having autologous costal cartilage surgery, I recommend taking time off work and resting fully. After the revision surgery, there was no crooked appearance at all from the front, and the asymmetry was gone. I like that my nostril shapes are pretty T_T

Moreover, lengthening the nose naturally corrected the protruding-mouth appearance. I hesitated over nasal revision surgery, but I am glad I did it. No regrets.
