Hello. I recently had the columellar strut (ear cartilage) removed + tip refinement (Tip revision). I did not have septal reinforcement or a strut tie-down. (Strictly speaking, this was my fourth surgery, but during the third surgery I removed the ear cartilage from the tip, and in this fourth surgery I also removed the last remaining columellar strut. After my first rhinoplasty, I lived for over 10 years with a slightly upturned nose, then went in for revision.) I personally prefer a nose that is slightly upturned so the nostrils show clearly and feel open, but since the strut was removed entirely... I am very worried that it will droop a lot and become a stuffy nose where the nostrils are not visible. Has anyone like me only had the columellar strut removed? Did the tip droop a lot? I am currently 2 weeks post-op, and so far it does not seem to have drooped much. T_T If you have similar experience, please reply and let me know up to when it tends to droop. T_T
