2 days after removal review + anyone had cartilage deformity and then had it repositioned?

My nose had a straight silicone implant from between the eyes to the tip, 4.5 mm, plus ear cartilage (I heard it was placed under the silicone). At my first surgery, I asked them to make it natural, and foolishly, I did not even know the thickness haha. The reason for removal was that over 12 years, the silicone had pressed on my nose and pushed the alar cartilage out of place, which caused pain. From the moment I woke up until I went to sleep, I had a dull pain, and even my eyes hurt. So I booked surgery right away. When I arrived, the order was: photos, signing the surgical consent form, consultation with the manager, consultation with the surgeon, then surgery started. The consent form already said that deformed cartilage is difficult to restore to its original state, so I kept saying that the compressed cartilage was really bothering me, and I mentioned it again during the final consultation. They said they would straighten it as much as possible. Anesthesia was done with sedation. It was not sedation from start to finish; if I woke up in the middle, they put me back to sleep. They said they would wake me if anything happened, but fortunately that was not the case, and whenever I woke up I kept talking too much, so they said, "I'll give you another nap~" haha. The surgery, including anesthesia, finished in just 40 minutes. Still, whenever I asked something while half-asleep, they answered kindly during the operation. I also rested well for an hour in the recovery room and then left. As a keepsake, I got my silicone implant back, and they showed me the footage of the removal process. Ear cartilage, silicone, straightening of the folded nose cartilage, and more.. It seemed they only removed the parts of the capsule that were in bad condition. They said it would be a closed procedure so no nasal packing, but after 10 years of the nose cartilage being compressed, having packing on only one side is so uncomfortable T_T They said to do it as long as I could tolerate it. But when they finished the surgery, they said there was no swelling, and even on day 2 I do not feel any swelling. I am planning to go tomorrow to remove the splint. I do not feel the foreign-body sensation from the silicone, and the surgical area still throbs, but the pain that had spread to my eyes because of the nose cartilage seems to be gone!! (I was struggling because I thought I might have to live in pain forever T_T) I still do not know the state of my nose, but I am leaving this for anyone who is curious about same-day surgery. It was not a nose with inflammation, but I am worried, so is there anyone like me whose cartilage had been folded for a long time and then straightened? I wonder whether it settled well and whether the asymmetry is noticeable T_T
