Before before after before before Two-month review of my hump nose!!
I had my nasal tip lifted after hump osteotomy!! Used septal cartilage and ear cartilage (support strut), 3 mm silicone <My original nose> Had a hump, and my skin/soft tissue did not stretch well; a thin and small nose A nostril-showing nose (a nose where the nostrils look triangular and are very visible) Had asymmetry in the nostrils below the nasal bridge <Consultation review> They said they would design it to match the most current style, so I had a consultation..! When I first entered the clinic, maybe because of the warm colors, I didn’t feel anxious and could wait comfortably (the info desk staff were angels) First I consulted with the consultant, then immediately had a consultation with the director He pointed out the shortcomings of my nose exactly and told me what could be improved and what my strengths were. I could really feel the professionalism ㅜㅜ He was kind, and the price wasn’t expensive, so I decided on surgery. Above all, when I showed him exactly the photo I wanted, he said he could do it, would match it as much as possible, and not to worry. The trust he gave me was a big reason I chose the clinic <Surgery review> I’ll explain roughly in order..! - Before surgery I had several tests in advance, like blood tests and an ECG. For thin people, what’s hard is that the testing devices attached to the upper body kept coming off because I’m thin ㅜㅜ sob sob, I think we did it two or three times - On the day of surgery I changed clothes and washed my face and gargled I went to the operating room, got an injection, and passed out immediately as soon as I put on some kind of mask They woke me up, so I barely got up and moved to the recovery room. My nose didn’t hurt, but because of intubation my throat hurt a lot and was dry ㅜㅜ On top of that, maybe because the anesthesia hadn’t fully worn off, I was sleepy and dizzy.. They wouldn’t let me go home unless I went to the bathroom (they told me not to drink water right after surgery!!) On the first day, after the anesthesia fully wore off, it hurt when I went home and slept. So I recommend taking Tylenol.. - Day 1 and Day 2 It really hurt when sleeping. But during the day it was okay. And blood came out of my nose nonstop. I couldn’t open my mouth well, so it was hard to eat rice, so I ate porridge. Until the second day, I think Tylenol before bed is essential... - From Day 3 to Week 1 From the third day, I slowly started to feel like I could live. I went out for walks and moved around a lot. My nose hurt less too, so I did warm/cold compresses often. The day they removed the cotton was heaven. Ah, breathing through both nostrils is a miracle. And after removing the cotton, I could eat more comfortably too. The day they removed the stitches, it hurt so much I wondered if they were pinching and ripping off my skin. But I let my guard down, and the splint hurt even more.. Splint removal was pain itself... My hair was hell for that whole week. Because of the ear wound, I couldn’t wash it properly, so I was forced to stay home... - Up to 1 month At first, until about the second week, my nose was really swollen (actually it didn’t look that swollen, but even now the swelling keeps going down). Because I had hump osteotomy, there was bruising in the middle of my nose. I think it lasted about a month. I couldn’t wash my face properly, so I had a ton of dead skin, and I couldn’t do makeup well. Even tapping with a puff hurt, and I couldn’t eat well either ㅜㅜ Sometimes I had a stinging, aching pain at the nasal tip. Yellow discharge scabs, blood scabs, and bloody pus often came out of my nose. Sneezing was legendary, but they said there was no problem - Up to 2 months It’s not a perfect recovery yet, but there isn’t major discomfort in daily life. However, I still can’t do makeup that involves heavy tapping, blow my nose, or rub my nose while washing my face. There’s no pain! I find myself looking at my nose often, and it still feels like more swelling is going down *Other precautions When you go for checkups, the director presses on your nose to check it, and it hurts terribly. I really tear up. It really hurts. But it’s for checking, so endure it strongly.. For post-surgery clinic care, there aren’t things like swelling injections or lasers. I did get antibiotic injections. But the swelling goes down well on its own, don’t worry.. Discharge-like boogers come out of the nose often. Nosebleeds too (they don’t flow, but I can see them inside) Compared with before, you may feel like the area in front of your eyes looks a little more open because the nasal bridge is higher I can’t scrunch my nose. I don’t know if this will improve later “Satisfaction after surgery” My nose turned out so well that I actually show off my fake nose and promote the clinic. People around me are praising it so much. The design is so, so satisfying, I haven’t had any side effects at all so far, and daily life isn’t particularly uncomfortable either. I’m at the point where I want to treat the director as my second mother. These days I’ve gotten into the habit of taking selfies with the regular camera too. More than apps or filters, it looks really good when filmed with the regular camera video. In real life, every morning I look at my nose in the mirror and admire it. I’m so glad I did it..! If you have a hump nose, please don’t hesitate and get surgery. Your quality of life goes up, and your self-esteem rises tremendously too. Looking at your face makes you happy..!
