<Why keep having revision surgeries?> After my first rhinoplasty, complications caused the nasal tip to show through, so I underwent three revisions. Even after silicone, cartilage, and autologous costal cartilage, the tip still showed through and became pointed. <Why autologous dermis?> From age 27 to 33, I went to other clinics and pursued revision surgery, but eventually realized that no method could prevent complications. I felt it was not a matter of the surgeon; rhinoplasty would eventually bring complications even as I got older. [Clinic A] in Apgujeong and [Clinic B] in Suwon seemed to be well known for autologous dermis. Suwon was easier to get to, so I went there first. After reading reviews on that clinic's own café and having a consultation, I booked right away. I was impressed that the coordinator consulted with me first, followed by the director. <Surgical method> They removed all the materials placed in my nose during the first surgery, then I underwent autologous dermis surgery a week or two later. They harvested dermis from the buttock and grafted it into the nose, rolling the dermis and grafting it firmly to form a nasal bridge; the nasal tip was also done with dermis. I was very nervous, but the nurses and coordinator were kind and made me comfortable, which helped me emotionally. In conclusion, I am satisfied now, two years later. I feel that if I had chosen autologous dermis for my first surgery, I could have saved the ten million won I spent on revisions. To summarize: 1. I have delicate facial features and do not want only my nose to look overly glamorous -> autologous dermis With silicone, the nose alone looked pretty, but it did not suit my face and looked very awkward. Now it has gained height and shape naturally, and people around me actually tell me I have become prettier more often. 2. I want a safe surgery while considering that complications may arise someday -> autologous dermis There were many older patients at that clinic who underwent autologous dermis revision due to complications from rhinoplasty done decades ago. It seems autologous dermis is ultimately where people settle. 3. I want to correct disappointing aspects without much burden -> autologous dermis It can be corrected with an additional injectable procedure without a nasal incision. I had an additional procedure after one year. If I want it higher later, I plan to do so. [Clinic B] in Suwon responded quickly and was proactive with aftercare. This was what pleased me most: they did not make an issue of money for the additional procedure. Scheduling was easy too. Because it is difficult to predict how and how much autologous dermis will be absorbed, you need to allow for that to some extent. In my case, naturalness and avoiding complications were absolutely higher priorities than a perfect nose, so I am very satisfied. Recommended. Ask me anything you are curious about!!

Nose Surgery Reviews@rhino-reviewSep 13 Is it hard to correct a bulbous nose in one surgery?
I heard that a bulbous nose is difficult to correct in a single surgery. Is that true? Of course everyone feels this way, but I want to finish it in one go. I think I need surgery for both my bulbous nose and dorsal hump, and if it can…
