I had my primary surgery in January last year. It’s not that I developed contracture, but I recently realized that while having a pretty face is nice, feeling at ease matters more to me, so I want to have full nose implant/cartilage removal after one year. Just in case I might need revision surgery, I chose a hospital specializing in revisions and contracted noses from the start for my surgery. The materials used in my primary surgery were silicone + septal cartilage + donated costal cartilage + ear cartilage, and they did say they used only a very small amount of septal cartilage. Still, I’m wondering whether cartilage repositioning is absolutely necessary. Also, there is an n-fold difference in cost between a hospital specializing in removal and the hospital where I had my primary surgery, so I’m debating where I should have it done. Of course, the removal-specialized hospital would probably have a bit more of an advantage, but I think it would be too much of a financial burden... And I heard that if I have everything removed, I’ll be free from contracture and able to make a pig nose too. Even so, are there still risks?
