Does surgery cause stress? Please give me advice.

I’d like to ask those who have had surgery~ I’ve almost made up my mind to get nose surgery. About a week ago, an older woman I know had nose surgery, but she said she wouldn’t recommend it,, and begged me to think it over one more time. She really said it sincerely.. She’s someone I trust and follow, so,, I’m even more conflicted. What she said was,, the nose surgery didn’t hurt, but.. the mental stress was too great. She’s 28 now. She did think, “I should have done it when I was younger,” but. Now that it’s almost been 2 weeks since surgery, her nose has become higher. (A lot of the swelling has gone down now, so she walks around fine without even wearing a hat~) But putting all of that aside, she says it’s been too mentally hard. What do you all think?? Of course it depends on personality, but she’s a very cheerful person, and yet she said this,,, so I’m even more worried. Also, a really, really close friend had double eyelid surgery 2 months ago, and she said the swelling isn’t going down at all,, and with the start of the semester coming up, her depression has gotten really bad, so hearing that made me really worried again. Of course, there are friends who gained more confidence after cosmetic surgery too. But the friends who had it done during this vacation are all having an especially hard time,, So I’m worried. How you felt after surgery and things like that,, please give me just one word of advice. Thank you for reading my long post.
