I had surgery 10 years ago in the old style, with silicone on the nasal bridge and ear cartilage just placed on the nasal tip. But I had nasal tip upturning, whether it was contracture or something else, so I went for a consultation because I wanted removal. When I consulted other clinics, some said there was nasal tip upturning but it wasn't contracture, and others said it was contracture. Anyway, the conclusion was that removal alone would make it hard to get the shape I wanted; while removing it, they would need to reposition the nasal tip cartilage, reposition the nasal tip cartilage and reinforce it with ear cartilage to fix it in place.
