I had LASEK surgery in 2020, and my vision fully recovered 6 months after the surgery. Before that, I didn’t have any discomfort either. The director and staff were extremely kind, and I received good post-surgery care. It was LASEK, but I think there was some explanation that it was different from regular LASEK, though it’s been a long time so I don’t remember.. (Not SMILE, not one/two-day) I found this out because I had a companion who got the surgery with me, but it’s true that recovery progress varies drastically from person to person. I could open my eyes even on the day of surgery, but my companion was in pain and couldn’t open their eyes. For me, it only stung for a few days right after surgery; I didn’t feel pain, but my companion said it hurt. Instead, it took me 6 months to fully recover, while my companion recovered extremely quickly.. My vision is still in the same condition as when it fully recovered, 1.5 in both eyes. I developed slight dryness, and I already had glare before. My companion had no side effects at all. For me too, it’s not to the point that it interferes with daily life. On extremely dry days, I really need artificial tears, but if I buy one bottle, I can’t finish it all, so I just put up with it. Conclusion: I had the surgery successfully, and the recovery process differed by person. But both of us are satisfied.
