My astigmatism was much worse than my myopia! I kept debating because they said LASEK would be more effective than LASIK, but after consulting again with the chief director, they said SMILE LASIK would still be perfectly fine, so I went ahead with SMILE LASIK. I was told that when astigmatism is worse than myopia, it is harder to correct than when both astigmatism and myopia are severe, and that even if we aimed for 1.0, it might come out around 0.8, but I proceeded anyway. My corrected vision came out to 1.2, and I’m living well haha. LASIK really changes your quality of life, so I totally recommend it!!!! As for pain, after the anesthesia wore off after surgery, from about 1 hour later?? My eyes kept tearing and felt very stinging, but after a few hours it gradually got better. The way home after surgery was congested, so it took almost two hours?? ㅠㅠ But already in the car, signs? road signs? those kinds of letters gradually started becoming clearer, and when I woke up the next day, my vision had already come in!!!
