Last May, I had surgery with silicone + a septal support strut, and I went through so much emotional distress with social anxiety and depression, but last Saturday I had everything completely removed. I feel so relieved. Right now I have taping on, so I cannot judge the shape of my nose, but even if I look uglier, I think I will be so happy. I think I was much more sensitive than others to the foreign-body sensation from the septal cartilage. The change in my image too... Now breathing has become much easier, and even though there is swelling right now, it looks round, cute, and I like it much more than my operated nose. I think everything doctors say to scare you, like your nose will collapse if you remove the septal cartilage, is all~ a lie. It is only day 2 after removal, but because of the support strut my nose had turned up into an upturned nose, and now the nasal tip has settled beautifully again^^ I can slightly see my old nose~~ But one thing I am curious about is that on the day of removal, because of the heat coming from my nose, my whole body hurt as if I had body aches, and I groaned in pain all day. Why was that..? The bridge area of my nose is especially severely swollen.. It is more swollen than when I had the surgery, and my eyes look pulled inward. Is this a hematoma??
