I left the ear cartilage tied to the tip of my nose alone and only removed the silicone. It’s been 1 year and 6 months since my rhinoplasty, and because of an inflammatory reaction the bridge of my nose got swollen and felt squishy, so I only took out the silicone. There was no pain, heat, bad smell inside my nose, or redness... For the removal surgery, they said they took out only the silicone through the nasal mucous membrane without making an incision or stitching. Today they removed the tape and the gauze from my nostrils, and there’s not much swelling. I’m scared of contracture coming on My nose was a little long to begin with, so I’m worried it won’t stay up? Right now the shape is good, and I hope it stays like this... They told me to come back next Wednesday and said they’d check the progress then
