Somehow it’s already been almost a year. It feels like just the other day I was making such a fuss about getting nose revision surgery.... The experience of one failure lasted so long, and the emotional scars were deep.. I kept thinking, why did I get rhinoplasty and end up facing this miserable reality? Everything fell apart, I didn’t want to go to work, and I was afraid of social relationships.. At least my mom became a big source of strength. She encouraged me and comforted me.. She also gave me money so I could get nose revision surgery...
So I found the courage and decided that this time I would look into it properly, determined that I would not fail twice. I think I probably researched for over a month haha Maybe because my mom helped solve the financial side, I could look into it without feeling burdened haha There were a lot of people like me looking into nose revision surgery.
While I was researching so hard, I learned about autologous dermis nose revision surgery. Since I had complications from silicone, I naturally became very interested in a surgery using autologous dermis. When I had my first surgery a year ago, I didn’t even know about autologous dermis rhinoplasty They say autologous dermis is taken from your own buttock and grafted onto the nasal bridge. The moment I heard that, I thought there would be no side effects because it was my own tissue.
So I kept looking into it in more detail, and not every hospital performs autologous dermis rhinoplasty. There were many opinions, like the surgery is difficult, it absorbs, it doesn’t absorb. Because I was betting everything on this surgery, I was extremely careful. There seemed to be three representative places known for autologous dermis. One place wasn’t in Seoul, so getting a consultation felt a bit burdensome and I didn’t go. I booked and received consultations at the other two places. After getting consultations at the two places, they each felt different in their own way. What they had in common was that I agreed with their explanation that there is no better answer than autologous dermis for nose revision surgery. My criteria were that it should absorb as little as possible and produce the shape I wanted haha So after much thought, I finally chose one place and had autologous dermis nose revision surgery^^ As you can see from the photos, in the before photos, it looked too obviously surgical, turned red in winter, and the implant showed through, which was so stressful. But after autologous dermis nose revision surgery, all of that was resolved. It’s much more natural than before and doesn’t show through..... If I had done autologous dermis from the start, I wouldn’t have suffered so much financially or emotionally..... I regretted it so much At least after having surgery with dermis, it feels like I found a new life haha
