Hello, I’m someone who has had only nose surgery four times, about every two years since 2008, including this latest one.
At first, I had ear cartilage and septal cartilage. The second time, I had revision surgery because of an implant problem, and because I had to. Since I never wanted that to happen again, I chose autologous dermis.
The third time, I had revision surgery because of the shape, height, and inflammation, using silicone and donated costal cartilage.
After the third surgery, my nasal shape became deformed and the silicone shifted, so I had everything completely removed from my nose and lived like that for more than 4 months. I tried to keep living that way, but people who have had nose surgery will know why, unless they had never had surgery in the first place, it is so hard to just leave it removed and why people seek revision surgery. Those who have been through it will understand.
Thinking that if I failed this time it would truly be the end, I spent about 5 months looking into nothing but nose surgery, and honestly I can’t even count how many consultations I went to. I was going to write roughly how many, but I went to so many places that it’s really impossible. ㅡ.ㅡ;
I really went around to all kinds of places, even famous places in the provinces, places celebrities and women who work at night supposedly go to, places said to work miracles. There was nowhere I didn’t go.
It has now been 5 months since I found a truly new life, and I think I really won’t have to do this again.
My pre-op nose: since quite some time has passed between then and now, I don’t have photos. It was truly just the complete package of an ugly nose: low nose, bulbous nose, crooked nose, upturned nose, short nose. When it was very low before surgery I didn’t know, but after the first surgery, when they just placed silicone on top of it, the crooked nose became visible.
My current nose: first of all, the bulbous nose is completely treated.
Crooked nose: honestly, to the eye, you can’t tell at all, but this doctor explained it to me. He said the base, meaning my original nose, cannot be completely corrected with certainty, and that everyone has at least slight facial asymmetry. He explained something along those lines? But if it doesn’t show to the eye, isn’t that enough? Pass.
Low nose: raised appropriately without collapsing.
Short nose: supported as strongly as possible with autologous costal cartilage and brought down in a masculine way. Solved.
Lastly, I asked the doctor: Doctor, other places said my nose couldn’t become a straight nose. How did you do it?
The doctor said: instead of using a straight silicone implant in my original nose, he directly designed and carved a solid silicone implant to fit my nose, for example the indented part of a low nose needed to make a straight nose, and inserted it.
Anyway, I’m living a new life. I’m so grateful to the doctor, and everyone, please don’t give up.
I don’t know when this nose might develop a problem and need to be removed, but if my parents, acquaintances, girlfriend, and even the hair salon I often go to are asking where on earth I got it done, I think that means it turned out well.
After my fourth surgery, this was the moment I realized, so this is why people get nose surgery. I hope everyone spends the rest of 2015 happily and without any major accidents~
