My lower jaw was a bit small, and my upper jaw protruded a lot compared to it. I had malocclusion, so only one side of my jawbone was being worn down, which made my face asymmetrical, and I also had crowded canine teeth on both sides, so I started orthodontic treatment. I wanted to finish quickly, so I asked them to make the treatment intensive, and I wore my orthodontic elastics diligently, so it seems like it’s ending quickly. I still have about 3 months left for retainers and so on, but I’m very satisfied, and when I looked at my old photos, I thought I should have done it earlier. At certain times along the way, specific teeth felt sensitive, my jaw hurt, or I had headaches because of that, but I think they were temporary and natural phenomena because my teeth and jawbone were moving. I’m totally fine now. I think orthodontic treatment is best done with the priority on treating malocclusion rather than expecting dramatic effects, moving the teeth only within a reasonable, non-excessive range.
