Orthodontic Treatment

I started in middle school and finished in high school, so it’s already been almost 10 years. Because my jaw was small, my teeth were uneven, and my front teeth protruded like bunny teeth. I had two upper teeth removed (one of the extracted teeth was a baby tooth. Genetically, I was missing one permanent tooth, so that tooth was removed). They first said the orthodontic treatment period would be a year and a half, but it ended up taking up to 2 years. They placed screws in my gums and treated me by continuously pulling with rubber bands. It was at a dental clinic in Jeongja-dong, Bundang, and since the director knew my parents, they treated me affordably and very carefully. I’m fairly thorough with dental care, so my teeth haven’t shifted back much, just a slightly natural-looking amount. People around me don’t know I had braces and compliment me for having healthy teeth, but when I tell them I had orthodontic treatment, everyone says it seems to have turned out really well.
