The way my lips used to get caught on my protruding canine teeth when I smiled and spread out was of course fixed and disappeared as I got orthodontic treatment. The cost was about 300, I think. I had 4 teeth extracted in total. For the first 2 years, I wore the retainer consistently except when eating, and gradually reduced it. After 2 years, I only wore it while sleeping, and after that I agreed to wear it 3 to 4 times a week. After that, I agreed to wear it only when I remembered to lol. It’s been fine even when I haven’t worn it for a few weeks. If I put it on after a really long time, it feels like the retainer is a little tight, but if I diligently wear it only while sleeping for a few days in a row, it seems to go back again. I’m very, very satisfied.
