The doctor told me it would be fine even if I didn’t do it, but I insisted and got orthodontic treatment. I had a very slight protruding mouth and large teeth, so we decided to move the upper teeth back just a little and shave the teeth down to make their shape smaller. In the end, my teeth did become prettier than before, but I also wonder if it was really necessary. So I think if even the doctor doesn’t particularly recommend it and it isn’t severe, it’s okay not to get orthodontic treatment.
