I went for a consultation at a private clinic in Apgujeong. It’s a very well-known clinic, and there are many good and bad reviews, so I thought I should get a thorough consultation before deciding, and I went with my mom.
1. There weren’t many patients waiting, and after waiting about 10 minutes, I went straight in for the director’s consultation. I was a bit taken aback by the director’s way of speaking, but the consultation itself was good. The director wrote down everything I said and answered well. However, they didn’t give any definite answers and said it’s hard to be certain because they would only know after doing the surgery. I asked about upturned nose, saddle nose, columella retraction, and so on. They said the upturning would be corrected as much as possible through repositioning, and if a saddle nose is confirmed after surgery, they would definitely reinforce it. For columella retraction, they said they couldn’t give a definite answer. If the skin is thick and the pores are severe, there is a higher chance of columella retraction, but since my skin isn’t like that, the possibility is low. Still, they didn’t guarantee it. They said that with removal surgery, you shouldn’t think about the shape, and if you care about the shape, you should get revision surgery. Unlike what I had heard, the consultant was also kind, and the price was similar to other clinics.
If I only go by the director’s consultation, I feel like this clinic is okay, but when I look around here, I occasionally see bad reviews too, so I wonder if it’s okay to do it there. Where on earth should I get it done?
