<This is the current line> Today I got the splint removed, some stitches taken out, and the cotton packing removed. It’s day 4. Because the nasal cartilage that had been inserted way too large was removed, the bleeding wouldn’t stop and blood kept filling the empty space, so the cotton that was originally supposed to come out after 2 days stayed in for 4 days. It feels refreshing to have it out. My nostrils, which had been long and narrow like tubes, are now round and symmetrical, so breathing is really good. Postnasal drip (the phenomenon where nasal discharge goes backward) has also disappeared. After removing the silicone... and lowering the nasal tip height... this was a surgery I went through thinking, let’s give up on the shape to some extent! They repositioned the cartilage in the nasal tip, tied the cartilage, and reused part of my ear cartilage to raise it slightly. My natural nose was originally very sunken and long-shaped...;; The conclusion is that I now have a rounder and shorter nose than the silicone nose. The nasal tip swelling is still really like I got stung by a bee, very plump, but the hospital told me to do compression taping for a month. They said the shape will settle well.... For now, I’m only attaching the side line. The silicone had gone almost up to the glabella, so it had looked long, but now it actually looks short.. though it did get lower. They also smoothed the area where the hump was shaved very well. It’s smooth. But since all the downsides may still look offset because of swelling, I’ll post again at 1 month. As for pain, as expected, if I touch the area where the nasal bridge was refined, it hurts like “huhaaak!” The nasal tip rather just feels numb and doesn’t hurt much. The posts I write are the opposite in nature of posts that scare people too much, warnings, or regret posts. Regardless of the surgical result, for now I’d appreciate it if you think of this as a hopeful case for nose removal/reconstruction. I’ll reply diligently to comments. I hope this helps.
