I posted after surgery, and this is my second post. I’m posting this for reference. I won’t be taking any more hospital inquiries now. If you look at my posts, you’ll roughly be able to tell. (a hospital that doesn’t work on Saturdays)
First of all, from after surgery until now, I still have that “Avatar” glabella look. It’s going down very, very slightly little by little. I’m starting to get worried now about whether it will actually go down. It’s been 3 weeks. My nose is still in a bulbous swollen state, overall swollen. The nasal bridge swelling, not just near the glabella but the whole bridge vertically thick... will it go away?
Right after surgery, if they say the removal went well, you feel relieved with that, but the shape... I have no idea how it will turn out as time goes on. I feel like I’m going crazy. My nose was on the shorter side, but maybe because the columella is swollen, or because of the surgical method, it looks longer, and that’s stressing me out.
Ha... and I can breathe well through both sides, but my rhinitis has started again lol I guess it was unreasonable to hope even the rhinitis would be cured. haha And the pricing at the hospital where I had surgery... They said they discounted it because I came from outside the capital area, but someone who had much more done than me got it done much cheaper. Did they overcharge me... haha....
And I think I understand what they mean by the contraction phase. My nose feels tight. Toward the glabella. There’s also some throbbing. For now, it’s still bearable.
Columellar scar.. It’s getting darker as time goes on. I’m diligently doing everything they told me to do after surgery, but since it’s only week 3, I’m going to watch it slowly. I’m applying scar ointment diligently.
Post-op responses: when I send a message, they don’t contact me right away, but they do reply by message. Vertical line on the nose - need to observe, influence of scar tissue : disappeared in one day Scar tissue inside the nose - still at a stage where we need to observe : still the same
I’m worried about columellar retraction, so I’m searching hard. The columella is bothering me.
Even though I only had the L-shaped silicone and the Medpor columellar strut removed, I’m still this drained ㅜㅜ I’m really jealous of people who say they’re satisfied after removal. They said they removed everything, only straightened the cartilage on the side that was dented, and didn’t do anything else, and that there wouldn’t be a big difference externally. (the height of both nostril wings)
But seriously, the swelling... I feel like I’m going to get depression.. I’m so jealous of people who said their swelling went down after 2 weeks, and my nose length has come down more.. I’m scared to death it’ll look even longer from here. ㅜㅜ When will I look human again....
