Hi! After finishing the college entrance exam, when I didn’t really know anything, I got nose surgery at Yangjae ENT, and a few years later it became seriously crooked, so in early 2021 I had revision surgery at a private clinic famous for noses.
The crookedness was corrected and it turned out so, so natural, so I was satisfied, but at some point the silicone started lifting, and the boundary between my forehead and the silicone started bothering me. Recently, even with slight irritation, the area between my eyebrows would swell and fluid would collect, so I told the clinic, and the doctor drained the fluid with a syringe and told me I should just remove the silicone..
But I had no idea what would happen if I removed the silicone while leaving only the nasal tip I also went for consultations at other clinics, and after taking a CT, they said that if I removed the silicone, my nose bridge would become lower and there would be a step-off But spending over 5 million won again for an open revision surgery felt burdensome.. you know? So I worried about it a lot, but this time my nasal bridge swelled again and I felt like I was going to lose my mind, so I just removed only the silicone The director at Mint also spoke as if removing silicone was no big deal and said the step-off probably wouldn’t be that severe…?
First of all, removing the silicone itself didn’t take long, but the anesthesia and preparation were basically surgery I was really scared.. Thankfully, cutting one side of the nostril, removing the silicone, washing the nose, and stitching it took less than 10 minutes.. But it was hard because it was local anesthesia, not sedation anesthesia..
There is almost no swelling or bruising!! Of course there is swelling on the nasal bridge hehe I removed the silicone yesterday afternoon, slept, and just woke up, and it hasn’t swollen more, so I think I can go to work on Monday hehe
But I don’t really know the shape yet because it’s taped, so I think I’ll know after removing it..! Please let the step-off not be severe! I’m not sure yet, but if anything, as the glabella got lower, it might actually look better hehe
I was so stressed and had such a hard time because of removing the silicone, so I’m writing this review in case it helps someone!
Conclusion: It was simpler than I expected, with almost no swelling or bruising. Since it’s taped, I don’t know the shape yet, but the glabella is lower and the nasal tip shape is maintained, so if the step-off isn’t severe, it might actually look natural and okay?
Of course, as everyone worries, the nasal bridge could be uneven, and depending on the capsule or scar tissue, I think I’ll only know the shape after removing the tape and after all the swelling goes down! I’ll post another review next time:)
