Review of double-jaw surgery for a retruded chin that surgery corrected beyond the limits of orthodontics

It has been 6 months since I had double-jaw surgery and two types of facial contouring surgery. haha First of all, I had a retruded chin since I was young, so mine was a case that could not be corrected with orthodontics alone! So I felt the limits of orthodontics, decided to have surgery after becoming an adult, and my mother personally looked for a place good at improving retruded chins. I ended up having double-jaw surgery along with surgery including the square jaw and chin. ​ Now, 6 months later, I can eat almost everything except tough foods. For tough foods, I cut them with scissors so I can eat them as carefully as possible. I have recovered that much, so I am living while eating delicious food. These days, I go out here and there, confidently take as many photos as I want, and make memories. I am that satisfied, and people around me also tell me I look pretty a lot, so my self-esteem has shot up so much that my old self is unimaginable haha I am currently 6 months into postoperative orthodontic treatment. I’m used to the orthodontic visits now, so they’re okay, but during treatment my gums get pulled, so the toothache lasts about a week. Other than that, I think it’s fine. Last time, a screw in my gum kept pressing against the inner lip and made a hole, and the director checked it and even removed it for me. I remembered the screw removal being so painful that I was nervous, but fortunately it didn’t hurt at all. Now I also need to have my wisdom teeth removed, and I’m moving toward the finish line while using elastics to align my upper and lower bite. The orthodontic director told me that my orthodontic treatment could end around late autumn this year at the latest, so there is still a hard time left, but I’m going to hold on while thinking about the better future. ​ For those who had double-jaw surgery like me and are having a hard time, time is the medicine, so let’s think only good thoughts and wait to become even prettier ~
