My teeth were fairly even, with just slight spacing. So instead of getting braces, I had orthodontic treatment with clear aligners that I could put in and take out.
I'm satisfied because my slightly protruding mouth moved inward and the gaps became smaller, but I would not recommend it to anyone expecting a major orthodontic effect.
