Double-Jaw Surgery Reviews

I even ate jerky I had not been able to eat for 10 years! My family keeps admiring me lol. All thanks to double-jaw surgery,,♡

If you ask me what changed the most after double-jaw surgery, I would say my bite. Of course I became prettier, but considering my quality of life, my bite is the biggest change lol! Before, eating was uncomfortable because of malocclusion and facial asymmetry, but those issues have improved a lot now, so I am very satisfied! It has already been eight months since I had double-jaw surgery with Director Shin Hee-jin at [Clinic A]. As the swelling goes down, my face is gradually becoming slimmer, and these days it is fun to watch the changes haha. I was born with a class III malocclusion caused by a protruding lower jaw and facial asymmetry with my jaw deviated to the right When I went for a consultation about orthodontic treatment as a child, I was advised to have double-jaw surgery because the asymmetry and malocclusion were already fairly severe. But I was afraid of surgery and was young, so I ultimately had orthodontic treatment alone without surgery. Even after completing orthodontics, my temporomandibular joint pain gradually worsened as an adult, and I became very stressed about my asymmetrical facial shape whenever I took photos. Eventually, I decided to undergo the double-jaw surgery I had been deliberating over for a long time. When researching clinics, I wanted an oral and maxillofacial surgery clinic specializing in double-jaw surgery because it involves the jawbone and bite. I compared patient reviews from several clinics, and I liked the reviews from [Clinic A] the most. They also had various videos and materials about double-jaw surgery on YouTube, which helped me learn about the operation. As I looked through everything from real patient reviews to surgical information, I developed trust, and that is how I chose [Clinic A]! These days I am undergoing postoperative orthodontic treatment and also had both wisdom teeth extracted! I was very afraid of having my wisdom teeth removed, but perhaps because I had already undergone double-jaw surgery, I endured it better than expected lol. My jaw joints were not good to begin with, and it was still difficult to open my mouth wide, so extraction was a little challenging, but after removing the painful wisdom teeth, I actually felt relieved. Sensation has not fully returned on the left side of my jaw, but it does not greatly interfere with daily life, so I am watching the recovery. As time passes, the swelling continues to decrease and the facial tissues settle, so I can feel my face becoming much slimmer! Above all, the thing I am most satisfied with these days is my bite. Before surgery, my jaw length was asymmetrical and my upper and lower teeth did not meet properly, so eating was uncomfortable. Now my bite fits very well, making eating much easier than before! This Chuseok, I was even able to eat the jerky I received as a gift for the first time in 10 years lol. I used to have difficulty eating chewy foods, but now it feels as if the food is being finely crushed in a blender, which is so fascinating!!!! When I first decided on double-jaw surgery, I had a lot of appearance-related stress from my protruding jaw and facial asymmetry. But after surgery, I have realized anew how important having a proper bite is in daily life. Of course I am also very satisfied that my facial shape has become prettier and my asymmetry has improved a lot, but these days I feel even more satisfied that I can eat comfortably, just as much as with the external changes haha. I feel like I am bragging whenever I write a review, but haha, I once saw my grandmother less than a month after surgery. She said my face had become incredibly pretty and took a photo of me 😖💕 I still have some residual swelling and my sensation is recovering, but when I think about how much I have changed over eight months, I feel I made the right decision to have double-jaw surgery. I am looking forward to seeing how my facial shape and bite settle further as I continue orthodontic treatment haha.
