Double-Jaw Surgery Reviews

Six-month review of chin advancement surgery

It has already been six months since my chin surgery. Before surgery, I was quite self-conscious about my profile because of my recessed chin, especially because my chin always looked pushed back in photos. After much deliberation, I had surgery at Yang Yundol Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, which had many reviews from men who underwent chin surgery. As time passed after surgery, the swelling gradually subsided, and from around months 3–4 my chin line began to feel much more natural. Now, at six months, the shape of my chin seems much more settled compared with the early postoperative period. The most satisfying part is definitely my profile. Before, my chin looked short and set back; now the chin tip projects forward appropriately, making my overall facial balance feel better. From the front as well, my lower face looks more defined, so I’m satisfied. I especially like that it improved naturally without making my chin project excessively or look artificial. I used to check my profile first whenever I took photos, but these days I don’t worry about it nearly as much, which feels like a big personal change. I was very worried about the result before surgery, but now, six months later, I feel I made the right decision. If you are concerned about a recessed chin, I hope you decide on a surgical approach suited to your face through thorough consultation. Recovery speed and results vary by person, but I’m quite satisfied with my current result.
