Male double-eyelid surgery review at [Clinic A]

The thing I cared about most while researching male eye surgery was the double eyelid. I naturally had monolids, and personally I didn’t want a style with a very prominent double eyelid because it can look a bit heavy, lol.

During the consultation, I said I wanted a very thin inner double-eyelid crease, while still making my eyes look open and unobstructed. At [Clinic A], I had incisional ptosis correction and medial canthoplasty together.

I worried that swelling would last because it was an incision, but fortunately it went down faster than expected. At first it looked a little awkward because of the swelling, but after a few days it clearly settled, and the crease gradually became thinner and settled into the subtle inner double-eyelid look I wanted.

I like that the crease only shows thinly when my eyes are open rather than appearing large above the eyes. My eyes also look less closed-in than when I had monolids, and overall they look much more defined and open, which is what I’m happiest about.

I was slightly worried about scarring from the medial canthoplasty, but during recovery it was barely noticeable. There was some redness at first, but it naturally subsided, and now it isn’t bothersome even up close.

People around me often say my eyes simply look more defined rather than that I got large double eyelids, so I think it turned out in the direction I wanted, haha. I didn’t want male eye surgery to look obvious, but even with the incision method the swelling went down faster than expected, and the medial canthoplasty healed neatly. Now I’m glad I had it done.
