I had a long chin... plus facial asymmetry and a prognathic jaw, so every time I took photos I felt my self-esteem drop for no reason..it was stressful, so after thinking it over I had double jaw surgery and zygomatic reduction together at [Clinic A]. In the beginning, to be honest, the swelling made me feel like I looked worse and there were times when my mentality wavered But as time passed, I could really see the difference, so I am very satisfied now. Around 2 weeks after surgery, the swelling was visibly going down day by day, and I was happy because it already felt like my face had gotten smaller 👍🏻 Of course, by then I still had some nasal congestion and pain, so it was uncomfortable, but it was definitely better than at the start! Around week 3, except for the nasal congestion and teeth sensitivity, there was almost no pain lol. I think my condition also improved a lot as I tried all kinds of soft foods. On the downside, the swelling around the sides of my nose and the front cheeks was a bit bothersome
After about a month, the front-cheek swelling started to ease little by little, and I kept practicing opening my mouth until I could fit about two fingers. Even then, it was still hard to chew properly, but I started eating the soft parts of pizza and even shrimp, and that made me so happy lol. In month 2, the rate at which the swelling went down slowed down a lot, which was frustrating? But by month 3 I could really feel it. Even when I met people, they truly did not seem to realize I had surgery, and they kept saying my face looked smaller, so I was so satisfied. Even I can tell my lines look much more naturally refined than before There is still a slight bit of swelling in the front cheeks and the philtrum area, but the jaw area seems to have gone down a lot, and now I can eat almost everything, so my quality of life has gone way up!! Thinking about how anxious I was because of the swelling in the early days, I really feel like I made the right choice by doing it!
