Since I was young, the stress from my malocclusion and underbite was really severe Especially my side profile bothered me so much that I would turn my head or avoid photos every time, and even though I knew braces alone could not solve it, I only went through orthodontics twice. Surgery was scary and my parents were against it, but it mattered so much to me that I kept researching and persuading them for a long time, and in the end I got two-jaw surgery and contouring surgery (cheekbones, square jaw, chin) done! I had the surgery at Y Oral. It is already amazing that a year has passed since the surgery In the past I could feel my face changing every few months, but now it really feels completely settled, so I am extremely satisfied. First, the swelling is completely gone. Even up to the 6-month mark there was a very slight lingering feeling, but now that has also settled naturally, so my facial line is in a very stable state. The cheek area has also filled out naturally, so my face looks more balanced overall, and the jawline is smooth, which I really like. Sensation has also come back a lot At first my gums and the area around my mouth felt numb, so speaking or eating was subtly distracting, but now the feeling has returned like before, so there is nothing to worry about in daily life. There is no pain, no inconvenience in life, it is simply the best People around me also say my face looks much more natural and pretty now! Every time I hear that, I feel happier for no reason, and more than anything, the biggest change is that I feel at ease when I look in the mirror myself. It feels like all the reasons I worried about surgery have been resolved? Looking back, the early stage was hard because of swelling and sensation issues, but now all that is left is the feeling that I really made the right choice. As time goes on, it feels even more natural and stable, so a year later is when I am most satisfied. If you are someone who has struggled for a long time because of appearance-related complexes like me, I felt that if you research enough and decide carefully, this is a choice worth considering at least once.
