11 months after double jaw surgery, the job application photo was the trigger and the result is fairly dramatic

It has already been 11 months since I had double jaw surgery with Director Shin Heejin at IY Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. It is hard to believe it has almost been a year already, time really flies hehe! Since high school, my misaligned jaw and malocclusion always bothered me every time I took photos, and while preparing for a job search I was about to take an ID photo and thought I should not keep putting it off any longer, so I decided on surgery. Looking back now, I really think I made the right choice then. I came up from Gwangju and went to several consultations, but IY Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery gave me the clearest direction, so I trusted them with it. Now it just feels naturally settled in like my own face. Honestly, it is not to the point where people cannot recognize me, but for me it feels dramatic. Since the overall balance is better, my impression feels much more relaxed, and above all, the biggest thing I can feel is that the jaw joint noise that always bothered me before is completely gone! Eating is much more comfortable too, and I did not realize it would make such a difference not having to worry when opening my mouth. During the first few months I was sensitive about how fast the swelling was going down, but now even that memory is blurry, and I am just living as if this was always my face. Sometimes my mom looks at me and says I really made a great choice, and every time I hear that I feel oddly proud. I know how people feel when they are debating double jaw surgery because I went through that for a long time too, but for me the waiting was harder, and now I just think I wish I had done it sooner. I will come back with an honest one-year review when it reaches the anniversary~ hehe
