I had it done with ear cartilage, without silicone, but at some point after surgery the cartilage suddenly started sticking out at the columella... It has not even been six months yet, so I have not been able to get a consultation, and I figured that if I had to remove it anyway I would have to wait, so I kept thinking it should be fine. But for the past few days, that protruding cartilage area has been hurting in a poking, stabbing way? It feels like something is pressing on a nerve. Could this be inflammation or something...? Even when I am just sitting still, it does that sometimes, and when I wash my face or wipe my nose, even touching just that protruding part makes it sting.
