Breast Reduction Review: Surgery Day Through Day 7!!

I finally had breast-reduction surgery at [Clinic A] and am writing my day-7 review :) Since it was a major operation, I was nervous and slept poorly the night before. But the nurses and doctor explained things reassuringly, and the coordinator [Doctor A] also took kind care of me, which eased my nerves a lot. After entering the inpatient room, Dr. [Doctor B] was extremely thorough with the preoperative design. They made small talk throughout, which also helped me relax!! Once I entered the operating room, I was not as nervous as expected, and after greeting the anesthesiologist, I truly remember nothing. The operation took about four hours. Since it was a major surgery, I expected some pain upon waking from anesthesia, but I was surprised that I had almost no pain. The doctor said it is a less painful surgery than breast augmentation, and in reality, other than occasional slight throbbing, it truly did not hurt. Instead, I think the sore throat caused by endotracheal intubation after general anesthesia was harder for me! I had surgery at 9:30 a.m. and was discharged around 5 p.m. I thought I would hurt a little that night, but I got through the day surprisingly well without much pain. However, I could not sleep on my side for about a week, which was a little inconvenient. For one week after surgery, I wore drainage bags and rested at home. At the one-week visit, I returned to the hospital and had the drainage bags removed. Once the drainage bags and compression bandage were removed, it really felt like I could breathe again. The before-and-after photos are from postoperative day 7, and even before stitch removal, I can already feel that the size has decreased substantially. My goal was to reduce from approximately a 70F cup to around a C cup. I am still recovering, so I am looking forward to further changes. Above all, I am most satisfied that the weight I feel on my shoulders has become noticeably lighter. I am already excited to freely try bras and clothes I wanted to wear in my life but could not because of my breasts :) I am satisfied enough to think I should have done it when I was even younger. I will keep up scar care, watch the recovery process, and write another review in a few months! I hope this helps even a little for those deliberating breast-reduction surgery :)
