This is my one-month review after removing Aqua Filling breast filler through an underarm incision at [Clinic A] :) I received Aqua Filling filler injections 11 years ago, and three years later the upper part of my left breast became hard, so I had both sides removed through inframammary incisions at another plastic-surgery clinic! Eight years after that removal surgery (about two months ago), I found filler that had flowed below the inframammary incision on my left breast; the lower breast looked bulging externally. I went to [Clinic B] for a consultation, and the ultrasound showed there was still a lot of filler remaining in both breasts and that the area was extensive, so they told me to go to Soonchunhyang University Hospital T_T. I booked a consultation there, but I had also booked one at [Clinic A] beforehand. After consulting at [Clinic A], I immediately scheduled removal surgery and cancelled the Soonchunhyang consultation! The director at [Clinic A] confidently said they would remove it and would show me endoscopic photographs afterward, which was the part that inspired the most trust! I had the removal surgery just three days after the consultation :) At [Clinic A], filler is removed through an underarm incision. There is no hospitalization; you go home after same-day surgery and return the next day. Since I live outside the area, I stayed nearby for one night and visited the next day :) After removal, I had drains inserted, but no compression bandage. Every day, I photographed the drain output and sent it by text to the doctor; they assessed the condition and removed the drains, usually around day 5. A week later, after the underarm stitches were removed, moving became easier. Around three weeks after removal, moving my arms became much more comfortable for me ^^. After stitch removal, they apply tape to prevent underarm scarring. I am going every two weeks for follow-up and tape replacement. From the one-month mark, you can replace the tape yourself every two weeks! On the day stitches are removed, you can check endoscopic before-and-after photographs. Seeing how cleanly the filler had truly been removed made me feel I had done well choosing [Clinic A]. Actually, when I had the first removal at another plastic-surgery clinic eight years ago, the hard area in the upper left breast was not removed at all. This time, while explaining the removed area with the endoscopic photographs, I was truly touched. I had not even thought about it, but when I felt it, the hard area had really disappeared. Amazing!! 👍 The first filler removal eight years ago had really not been done properly. I realized from the endoscopic photographs how much filler had remained T_T. Being able to visually confirm the before-and-after removal images made me feel so relieved. At one month after removal, I am living normally as before, without inflammation or pain. If you are deliberating over Aqua Filling filler removal or looking for a clinic for removal, I recommend consulting [Clinic A] at least once ^^ The doctor is truly skilled!! Since it was removed through an underarm incision, the scar is not visible, which is great; I heard it will eventually resemble a wrinkle. So I think choosing the underarm incision was also a very good decision. Even if Aqua Filling filler does not currently cause inflammation or pain, it can cause problems someday, so I hope you will definitely have it removed!
