곡샘 — Review

I have a low, small bulbous nose. I don’t have much septal cartilage that can be used, and they don’t do surgery well with only ear cartilage instead of septal cartilage, so I went here for a consultation. Honestly, I went in already planning to have it done here, so I didn’t even think of many questions and left. But unexpectedly, they said they could build up the bridge of my nose more than other hospitals. Other places said they could add about 2 mm, at most 3 mm, but here they said they could add about 3.5 mm, haha. And they said it would be better not to use septal cartilage, using only ear cartilage. I liked that they didn’t recommend donor rib cartilage or autologous costal cartilage as a substitute for not using septal cartilage. But the price was way too expensive compared to other places, though. ㅠㅠ So I called another hospital I had consulted with and asked whether surgery with only ear cartilage, without septal cartilage, would be possible. But the consultation manager answered the phone and said that if septal cartilage isn’t used, things sag and it’s not good. Still, when I said I wanted to use only ear cartilage and that my septal cartilage is small so taking it would make it weaker and could cause side effects, they said, “Then it is possible with ear cartilage too~” But the consultation manager isn’t the one actually performing the surgery, right? ㅠㅠ I just think this is a difference in technique... Whether you can build height even with soft tissue or not seems like a matter of technique, not materials. I left after making a reservation, thinking that even if it’s expensive, it’ll be worth the price. Another surprising thing was that they didn’t take a reservation deposit. I think they said I just had to pay it by 10 days before surgery, but I guess they’ll contact me..
