Patient review of Teilleo (테일러) · 2025-10-11

I picked out five hospitals for forehead reduction surgery and went around for consultations. This hospital had no one around me who had had surgery there, and it wasn’t well known, but there were a lot of comments mentioning it as top tier in a Naver cafe, so I added it to my list. I had already finished consultations at the other hospitals and went here last, so I had a lot to compare against, but the staff here, including the manager, were the least friendly, and I felt the consultation manager lacked professionalism too. The reason is that I thought the consultation managers were a bit older, so I assumed they’d have a lot of experience, but when it came to understanding surgery and information, the two of them were saying different things, and one of them didn’t properly understand the surgical method, so when I asked about the surgery, the answer was vague; this was the first place where there was a silence longer than 5 seconds during the consultation, and if they didn’t know, they could just say they’d look into it and get back to me, but maybe because they were embarrassed or whatever, they kept talking around it.. I got the feeling they were trying to pressure the customer (For example, about the before-and-after photos on the official site, another manager said, 'They were posted only for people who had patient consent and took part in an event,' but the manager who had been dodging the question said customers liked the surgical results so much and were so satisfied that the patients themselves asked for them to be posted, and that she had surgery there too, so why would she say that if it weren’t true. They also showed me face before-and-after photos not on the official site, and I wondered whether those people had really consented too.) This was the only place that charged a consultation fee, there were no discount events, and the price was the highest, so I found it strange in many ways, but that one manager seemed unusually confident. Personally, I’m in the camp of not sparing money on your face, and since the surgery isn’t done by the manager anyway, I cared more about the doctor’s opinion, and the doctor readily agreed to do it in the design I wanted. The other hospitals flat-out said it was impossible, and this was the only place that said it was possible, so that was probably what drew me in the most. The doctor, unlike the other staff, was fairly friendly and had strong confidence in his own skill. So I ended up leaning heavily toward doing it here, thinking it would be better even if it was expensive, and that I should trust the doctor. When I had my consultation, PRP injections were not included in the aftercare, and they said if I wanted other aftercare, they would do as much as I wanted with no limit, and that I could come in any time I wanted. In fact, aftercare is very important, and I had never once asked for a discount from the start, and since they said it was a fixed price, I had no intention of haggling anyway. So I kept asking several times, wanting to at least get good aftercare. All the other hospitals included PRP injections in their aftercare, so I asked whether that was essential, but they told me PRP or anything like that wasn’t important at all, and that the in-hospital aftercare program alone would be enough, so not to worry, and I put down a deposit. But after the surgery, unlike what I had been told, I couldn’t get care for different reasons each time. On the first visit after surgery, they said I didn’t need laser or swelling care yet, only put on a hair-loss helmet for a moment and sent me back. The next time I visited, they said it was still too early and there was nothing they could do, and told me to come back for laser on the next visit. The next time I went, they said my hair was still too short and if I got laser now, it would burn my hair, so I should grow it out first. When I asked whether it wouldn’t burn once I grew my hair out, they didn’t answer. They kept refusing me like this, so in the end the only care I received was one session with the helmet with the red light. When I looked up other reviews, there were many people saying the same thing, so I concluded that you really shouldn’t expect any aftercare from this hospital at all. So from then on, I went somewhere else for scar care. Every time I visited the hospital, as soon as I checked in they kept wanting to take photos first, and because it was a forehead surgery they kept telling me not to wear a mask and wouldn’t let me, so just going to the hospital itself felt very burdensome. It wasn’t even for a review event, and according to the manager they cut as much as possible according to elasticity, so touch-up surgery would be difficult anyway, so then why would progress checks even be necessary..? Even when getting my prescription, when I said I already had scar ointment and asked them to leave it out, they said, 'Do you have this?' so I said 'Yes,' and then they asked again, 'You have it like this? Is this the right one?' When I said I did have it, even describing the product color and asking whether it wasn’t the same, they just went 'Ah...' and stopped talking. Is there some reason I shouldn’t have scar ointment?? Arguments like this with the staff were not a one- or two-time thing. I should have looked at SangYesa too instead of only Naver and Gangnam Unni, and I really regret going to this hospital based on Naver comments without checking SangYesa. I state that this review was written not to defame or slander, but to share my experience for the public good in hopes of helping others choose a hospital.
