Breast Surgery review at Gimsangbeom (김상범) · 2020-07-21

I had surgery with BellaGel low profile implants. I wanted a natural B cup, so I got 250 and 275 cc. I didn’t consult with that many hospitals, but other hospitals had a bit of booking pressure, or they recommended and emphasized only specific implants too much, or they put down other hospitals too much, which looked bad to me. I chose this place because the doctor felt like a dad. There were no review events and no particular discounts, which I liked. It felt like fixed-price pricing. Unlike other hospitals, they said the surgery would be done through the navel, which made me even more curious. The manager and nurses were rather blunt, but I actually liked that because there was no excessive friendliness or fakeness. I liked that the hospital wasn’t crowded with people. The facilities felt a bit like a neighborhood clinic. It was small. If I went back again, I think I’d still get surgery at a private clinic. They matched the inframammary fold well. The shape came out pretty. The nipple position is a little uneven, but I’m just accepting it. Right after surgery, there was no upper bulge and the shape was pretty, so I was surprised. Other people worry about the upper bulge, but this place felt like a hidden expert in breast surgery. I want to keep it to myself, haha. They gave me porridge after the surgery. I went home by taxi that day, and the speed bumps were miserable. For 5 days I had my back hunched like a shrimp and was in so much pain I couldn’t do anything alone, so I was reminded that even with navel surgery, recovery time differs from person to person. By a week later I could manage, and I took the swelling medicine diligently (Danggui Sosan). For 2 weeks I was careful with my arms, didn’t lift anything heavy, and didn’t raise my arms. They didn’t particularly make me wear a support bra, and told me to wear a V-Fit bra for 3 months. Now it’s week 3, and I’m satisfied that I didn’t end up with a bowl-like chest; the feel is springy and firm, so I hope it softens soon. Before surgery, there was no breast ultrasound, so I went to a breast surgery clinic and found a lot of lumps. So I had Mammotome surgery first, and then 3 weeks later, after the bruising had completely gone away, I had the breast enlargement surgery. (Mammotome is covered by private insurance reimbursement) I’m disappointed with the aftercare, so I’m thinking of paying separately to go to a place that does radiofrequency and Caps management. - No CCTV, but a guardian can observe during surgery and choose the size - Post-op support bra worn for one week. No rental fee - The director is a board-certified plastic surgeon - Performed under general anesthesia - Breast pocket created through the navel and surgery done with Motiva (As far as I know, navel Motiva surgery seems to be only at Yonsei E One and here) - Surgery time about two hours - For one month after surgery, you have to visit the hospital once a week so the director can check the progress personally (if they are in surgery or busy, they may not be able to see you) - Aftercare after surgery includes warm compresses and Smartlux - They said they would give injections to people with severe scars - No drainage tube, but there is a pain pump - The capsule contracture medicine prescribed is Lucio (about 100,000 won) - V-Fit bras cost 65,000 won each and must be bought in person - You have to go back after a week to remove stitches (pain is severe) - You have to keep 3M tape on the wound for 6 months (change it every 3 to 4 days)
