My nose has a slight hump, and it's a bulbous long nose. I got a consultation for a no-implant nose and I'm debating it. They said they would raise the nose with ear cartilage, and without shaving the hump, they would fill from the hump to the tip line with cartilage to match the elevated tip, then use fascia from behind the ear to cover the bridge once, so even thin skin would show the cartilage less. Since they wouldn't have to mess with the nose much, I think the swelling would probably be minor and recovery would be faster? But my worry is that ear cartilage is soft and apparently doesn't support well (that's what I heard), and that worries me a bit. Also, the doctor said that if they proceed without shaving the hump, it might not look completely smooth. If I don't mind that, then they said there's no need to shave it. I can't really picture how much that would be. I feel like they would do it safely, and I really like the idea of proceeding without damaging my nose too much, but out of the four places I consulted, this is the only one that said they would use ear cartilage, so I'm still not sure what would be best
