I got a consultation for revision surgery for a crooked nose tip and crooked columella at Jeongseok Plastic Surgery. This is a clinic that takes CT scans, and the consultation was done while looking at the CT images and materials showing the expected post-surgery appearance. That part felt systematic, which I liked. But because my face itself is asymmetrical, they said perfect correction is impossible. Rather than setting the columella up as a single support, they explained that they would cut the ear cartilage and the original septal cartilage into several pieces and distribute them to prop it up so it would look as uncurved as possible. I understand it in theory, but honestly I'm still a bit skeptical about how much less crooked it would actually look. The explanation was detailed, but I still don't really know how confident I am in the result.
