My nose had nostrils of an average size and a pretty shape, but the alar skin was extremely thick. At first I was scared of the irreversible nature of incisional surgery, so I paid 1 million won to have the base of the nose tied with thread at another clinic. It only hurt and made almost no difference T_T So about two years later, I gathered my courage and decided to go ahead with incisional surgery. The director also recommended double-eyelid surgery and a nostril-folding procedure, but when I said I did not want them, they did not ask any further lol What I worried about most was scarring, but for about a month it looked like there was a scar and I was really upset. Now, about a year later, there is zero scar at all. However, because the thick alar base was reattached at a 90-degree angle, the nostril shape became like a long nose T_T I am now looking for a clinic for tip surgery I am very satisfied with the alar reduction itself haha
