I wanted to make my large, very high nose smaller to give it a more feminine feel, and my nose became beautifully slimmer (no implant was inserted; the tip was supported only with septal cartilage). After 3 to 4 years, the upturned, curved line of my nose also lifted into a straighter line, and my nose did get a bit bigger again, but that wasn’t a surgical problem. A week later, after the splint came off, I could wear a hat and go about daily life. After 3 weeks, the swelling had gone down to about the size of my old nose, so hardly anyone noticed.
