First of all, the doctor is really a real doctor. The consultation was also done with real enthusiasm, and I was grateful that they thought through things with me. My case was quite rare and not easy at all (empty nose syndrome), but thanks to the doctor I was able to find a direction, and their accurate examination and medical knowledge helped me make a judgment. Of course, there’s no such thing as a 100% guaranteed surgical result, but even when I was anxious and struggling right after surgery, they sincerely gave advice and helped me psychologically so I could get through it with as little anxiety as possible. In the end, what mattered most to me was functional improvement, and breathing definitely improved, as did the unexplained pain in my nose. The appearance was a little disappointing, but I want to think that was the best possible outcome. I had a lot of scar tissue. Every time I went for follow-up, they didn’t just glance at me superficially; they checked thoroughly like a consultation, asked first if I had any questions or discomfort, listened while writing everything down in the chart, and answered me. In that kind of aspect, I think patients can feel reassured and trust them. The eyes are a little disappointing. I had an incisional procedure, but the right eye loosened quickly, so I had the other side fixed again with a buried stitch. The shape when my eyes are open is fine, but the incision line on the right eye is too long and there is quite a bit of scarring, so when I close my eyes the scar is very visible. The left eye has less scarring and is fine, but I don’t know why only the right eye turned out like that. In conclusion, the shape when open is fine, but when closed there is a lot of scarring, which is bothersome and disappointing.
