I had a consultation with Director Hwang for revision nose surgery. First of all, maybe because it’s a private clinic, there were only two consultation managers, and they were very different from the kind of consultation managers we usually imagine (more like a neighborhood internal medicine nurse type). Director Hwang, in a good way, felt like someone obsessed with noses. He even made a nose model himself to explain things, and it seemed like he had done a tremendous amount of research. The problem was that, from the patient’s point of view, what I wanted to know was not the principles of the nose, but what shape would come out after surgery and exactly how the operation would be done. Yet he kept explaining the principles of the nose, saying he had his own method, so I felt like he was a professor... Still, he seemed like a very human person. The price was the same as what other hospitals charge for eye revision plus nose revision, so once I heard the price, I lost interest right away. On the other hand, the manager looked like she had no enthusiasm, and the only good thing was that there was no pressure to make a reservation at all.
