I had a CT scan and there was a consultation fee. The manager was very kind. It was somewhere between businesslike and friendly...? The doctor was a bit curt at first, but when I kept asking questions, they explained things in great detail. I think if you go in without studying much beforehand, you may not get much information from the consultation. They recommended donated costal cartilage or Gore-Tex for the nose, but I only wanted autologous cartilage because of side effects, so I asked whether autologous costal cartilage was available. They said they also do autologous costal cartilage and that I could choose if I wanted. However, another hospital said everything could be done with septal cartilage, so I don't think I'll have surgery.
