The nose I want is one from a hospital that can lower an upturned nose well and shape the nasal tip so it looks nicely defined. But I don’t like places that make it too excessive. A hospital that handles rib cartilage well. A hospital that shapes the columella and nasolabial angle well.
I also included hospitals from YouTube that seem to handle many cases similar to mine.
1. Prima They say it’s one of the top three for removal, but there aren’t actually any reviews, so I wonder whether they’re good at revision surgery. Still, people say they’re good, so I’m planning to go for a consultation.
2. Respect - Gong Jeong-sik Watching YouTube, they seem to lower contracted noses like mine well. Seeing that they also do septal reconstruction and alar cartilage restoration, it seems like they have a certain level of skill, and they’re good at lowering upturned noses and shaping the columella and nasolabial angle, so I’m planning to go for a consultation. But when I searched this place a bit, it seemed like there were brokers too (just my thought), and it’s also at Gangnam Station.
3. Yejin
This place is also known by word of mouth as being good, but there aren’t many actual reviews. Watching YouTube, the director seems skilled, but when I look at the comparison photos, honestly, it looks like almost nothing was done, and it’s way too natural. Of course natural is good, but it’s so natural that I wonder, was there even improvement?? So I’m a bit conflicted. The reviews on the website also feel hmm.. so I’m just planning to get a consultation.
4. Jungseok
This is the hospital opened by Director Seo Jung-seok, who used to be at Dodream. I found this hospital after seeing it on BbuTV, and they really lowered contracted noses well, so I dug into the hospital. But there aren’t many reviews, and the website reviews are not that great, so I’m thinking about it.
For reference, I’ll tell you about the hospital where I had mine done, since you might be curious. I had it done by Director Kang Cha-young (now at Nose Lab). Back then, my nose was the best nose of my life, but I got greedy and asked him to make it higher, and he said this was the best possible and that it couldn’t be done. So I went around to other hospitals for consultations. I had surgery at a hospital that confidently said it was possible and they could do it, and the result was a total disaster. When I looked up that hospital, they said the head director had passed away and it had closed.. That hospital was at Gangnam Station, so I filtered out all Gangnam Station hospitals.. because of that trauma from back then. I feel like all Gangnam Station hospitals are bad (this is entirely just my thought).
So I went to the supposedly good ㄹㅋㅋ, but they told me not to do it. They said it didn’t look strange. I guess they just didn’t want to touch it. They told me to only do nostril lowering. So I did nostril lowering, with ear cartilage and a skin composite graft, but I really do not recommend this. My nose is so hard. I can’t pinch my nose. I lived like that after the nostril lowering, but still, my nose just wasn’t working out,
so I had my nose redone at ㅋㅅ. After redoing it there, I thought I at least looked human again. I’ve been living okay-ish, but these days it’s getting upturned and the cartilage is showing through, so I’m looking into it again.
