I had my first rhinoplasty thinking I really never wanted to get revision surgeryㅠㅠ I saw so many reviews saying people had revision surgery because their nasal tip dropped, so on the day of surgery I asked them to make my nose look more dramatic and had the surgery.. Also, I thought the celebrity photos I wanted didn’t have dramatic noses, but they said all of them were dramatic noses, and after hearing that I ended up going in a dramatic-nose direction that wasn’t even in my plan. (That clinic is famous for doing natural-looking noses, and the consultant also said they wouldn’t make it extremely excessive and would do it to suit me, so I trusted the director too muchㅜㅜ without having my own judgmentㅠㅠ)
I had surgery on July 30 this year, so I’m now approaching 3 months post-op. My face is much smaller than average, so all you can see on my face is my nose, and I’m so stressed right now that I’m thinking of revision surgeryㅜㅜ They said they’ll do AS for freeㅠㅠ
They shaved down the hump, and for materials they used 4 mm silicone, septal cartilage, and ear cartilage. Since they were trying to raise the nasal tip to match the bridge, they said they also used donated costal cartilage for the tip.. After the surgery, when I heard that, it was a material I hadn’t expected at all, so my heart sank..
If raising it dramatically suited me, I wouldn’t know, but it doesn’t suit me at all. I used to have a cute, rounded image, but the starting point of my nasal bridge is higher than I expected, and I feel like I look more masculine now, so I’m stressedㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠ Everyone around me only says my image seems to have changed, and I haven’t heard even once that I became prettier, so I’m so upset.. Even to me, it doesn’t look goodㅜㅠ
What I’m curious about is, if I get revision surgery to lower it, can the septal cartilage and ear cartilage used in the previous surgery be reused?
The place where I had my first surgery said they’ll do AS for free, so I’m going to have a consultation and book surgery after 6 months, but there isn’t some rule that it’s better to wait much longer than 6 months, right?..ㅠㅠㅠ I didn’t want revision surgery, but I’m so upset that I couldn’t get a pretty nose in one goㅜ
Thinking about it now, celebrity nose shapes all have totally different facial proportions and features from mine, so I feel like bringing those photos had no meaningㅠㅠㅠ I should’ve edited my own nose photo into the shape I wanted and decided based on thatㅠㅜ For revision, I want it to look natural, and I hope there won’t be any further revision surgery..
Is there anyone here who has had a similar revision experience to mine?ㅜㅜ
I’m also curious whether lowering a nose after raising it suddenly makes the nose lower and worsens the skin/tissue quality or anything like that..
I’ve heard a lot about revision surgery to raise the nose, but I haven’t seen much about lowering itㅜㅜ I have so many questionsㅜㅜ
