Nose Surgery Reviews

First consultation review for functional nose surgery/deviated septum

My deviated septum is severe, so I was debating between an ENT clinic and a plastic surgery clinic.

I went to ㄹㅂㅅ (ENT) and ㅁㅋ.. Both were fine, but their pros and cons were definitely different.

1) ㄹㅂㅅ ENT clinic - It felt like the doctor carefully examined the inside of my nose by taking detailed images and touching it - For the aesthetic part, it felt like they follow the shape and limits of the nose you are given - Post-op care requires visiting every day for one week after surgery - The septum and rhinitis parts are covered by indemnity insurance, so excluding those, the cosmetic surgery estimate was quite expensive - It seems like they would do it safely; they said the inside of my nose is all irritated, so if I do it now there is a 100% chance of inflammation, and told me to restore it first before surgery

2) ㅁㅋ - The consultation with the consultant felt a bit like exchanging opinions? I liked that it felt like she was thinking it through while talking - The doctor felt a little busy, like pressed for time - They do look at the CT for the functional part of the nose, but it felt less detailed than at the ENT clinic - They marked out a line for me, but I couldn’t judge whether it suited me. Still, aesthetically for the nose, I think the result would come out better than at the ENT clinic

ㅠㅡㅠ I knew there was a difference between plastic surgery clinics and ENT clinics, but after getting consultations, the difference feels even clearer, so this is hard..
