This is a subjective plastic surgery review, so please just use it as a reference! Every single day, I got depressed whenever I looked in the mirror because of my nose, developed social anxiety, couldn’t make eye contact with people, and I’m writing this because I don’t want anyone else like me to end up worrying about revision surgery. And at the very least, it’s better to have surgery knowing what you’re getting into than to have it without knowing, so you won’t regret your own choice. Doctors don’t tell you everything.. There are a lot of brokers in this community too, right? (It gives me chills every time I see someone who wrote posts pretending to be an ordinary person later get suspended..)
And make sure to check the premium reputation reviews. If there are common opinions, you absolutely must not ignore them. (I had surgery without looking at those. I stupidly didn’t know…)
1. If you have an incision, the scar on the nasal dorsum absolutely does not disappear in just a few months. Whether it’s double eyelid surgery or anything else, once an incision is made, a mark is definitely left. With the eyes, you can’t see it when the eyes are open, but you can’t open your nose.. hahaha The clinic said it could be covered with makeup, but it can’t be covered. If you imagine applying foundation on your lips, like foundation getting stuck between the lip lines, it applies cracked like that over the nose scar. Anyone can tell it’s an incision mark, because there’s a straight line running down the center of the face.
You know people who have scars on their faces from being scratched by fingernails when they were young? Even those scars don’t disappear after becoming an adult, and this is a scar made by actually cutting with a scalpel, so I don’t know when it will disappear.
2. The nose droops downward as much as the skin that was removed, and it becomes very long. The midface gets extremely long, making the face look masculine. If your bulbous nose is short in length, I’m not sure how it would be, but otherwise you become Pinocchio. If you look at premium reviews, everyone says their nose got longer. It wasn’t just me haha I should have seen them before surgery, but I didn’t even hear this kind of explanation beforehand.. haha
3. Avoid doctors who say it will definitely work after consultation. When you read this community, there are really many people saying this, and there was definitely a reason everyone was saying the same thing. People are different before and after they’ve already done the deed. Doctors are human too. They don’t take responsibility for what they said before. Anyway, at plastic surgery clinics, the hospital has the upper hand and we are the weaker side..
So you absolutely need consultations at multiple places, and if they say different things, you should suspect that someone may be saying something wrong or lying. Since it’s surgery on the face I have to see every day, it’s only natural to be suspicious.
4. It becomes asymmetrical. You can tell from the photo, but I intentionally took it so the cupid’s bow is slightly visible. It’s not a tilted photo; it really was taken from the front. This was also something a lot of people complained about in premium reviews, but like a fool, I only saw it after my surgery went badly ㅠ
5. Most of all, the bulbous nose doesn’t improve haha It was bulbous nose surgery, but the bulbous nose stayed the same, and I ended up paying several million won for surgery that made a scar and made my nose longer.
Lastly.. this is entirely my own surgical result, and there will probably be people somewhere who are satisfied. In the end, the judgment is up to each individual. Before surgery, I had seen comments from people saying they didn’t recommend this surgery, but I only ran the positive-thinking circuit of, ‘Even if they had bad results, mine will go well.’ I regret so much that I didn’t look into it more, and because there weren’t many detailed reviews, I ended up writing this post. Even if you do get surgery, I hope you look for many reviews, do as many in-person consultations as possible, and decide carefully. The end.
