I wrote this as soon as I got back during the day, but accidentally deleted it... Anyway, my nose surgery was 2 and a half years ago, and I have silicone 5 mm + ear cartilage at the tip + a strut. I went for a removal consultation because of discomfort between the eyebrows + a slightly tight feeling in the nose + the nose being slightly crooked (only noticeable to me). It was near Apgujeong Station, and the clinic was on the smaller side! It felt like a regular clean internal medicine clinic..? The wait was reservation time +40 minutes, and the consultation fee was 10,000 won.
Consultation: palpation, then consultation with the director - The silicone starts off shifted to one side. (Slightly diagonal, like / this. They said the shifting itself is not a problem.) - It is not inflammation or contracture. Occasional redness is a symptom of inflammation, but if it settles down again, it is okay. It becomes a problem if it gets worse. - If I want everything removed, they can remove everything, but they cannot guarantee the shape. (They emphasized this a lot) They said because I originally did not have much nasal bridge, I would regret it a lot. - (When I asked whether removing everything would make the nose too upturned) If the original nose was not upturned, it will not become upturned. However, if the cartilage is very damaged, it could become upturned. If it becomes too upturned, they do cartilage repositioning. If the strut is foreign material, they remove it. If it is septal cartilage, they put it back in. - If it becomes too sunken, they slightly shave the sides to make it smooth. It will be lower than the original nose, but not extremely low. - Since I was hesitating, they talked in a way that seemed to advise against surgery... They said the crookedness is not very noticeable externally and that it is not an urgent case.
Honestly, I am still considering the surgery itself, so I do not know when my next consultation will be... My original nasal bridge was extremely low, so I cannot even picture how it would look if it became lower than that.. But the silicone is so uncomfortable, so I will think about it a little more and then go for a second consultation at ㅅㅅㅇ + look around at other clinics too...
