After making my first appointment, I went in for a consultation, and I only consulted with the consultant. When I said I wanted to meet the doctor too and proceed with a consultation, she said that even though she herself isn't a doctor, it would be the same anyway even if I consulted with the doctor, and that a doctor consultation wasn't possible that day;
Then a few months later, when I tried to schedule another date, over the phone she said it would be the same with the doctor anyway, and that for the second consultation I would have to pay (I think 30,000 won or 50,000 won). That made me angry; So I said last time I only consulted with the consultation manager, and she said that was also a consultation...; No, the manager was the one who didn't connect me with the doctor, so why should I pay for a doctor consultation fee?; In the end, they made me an appointment for the following week.
When I went to the clinic, I think it was a different manager (their impressions and personalities felt similar, not kind), anyway I met the manager, consulted, then the doctor came and consulted with me. The doctor wrapped up the consultation and answered my questions well, so I felt okay again.
After the doctor left, when the consultation manager told me the final price, she said 5 million won even though it was my first surgery. Last time they said 4 million, and even after going around to other clinics, I had never been quoted 5 million for a first surgery, so she said, "That's how our clinic is..." When I asked if there were any events or discounts, she flatly said no and said again, "That's how we are..."
In the consultation cost she wrote down, when the doctor was consulting, he looked at my nose overall and talked about the hump and so on, then said my nose was a little crooked, but even if I had surgery, the crooked nose probably wouldn't improve. Honestly, to my eyes the crookedness wasn't noticeably visible, and I wasn't thinking of improving it.
A week later, via KakaoTalk, I saw that the manager had included crooked-nose correction in the total amount she wrote down, so I asked whether that amount could be removed, since it wasn't really something I wanted and I thought the doctor had said it wouldn't improve even if it was done.. Then she said it was part of the plan, so it absolutely had to be included.
Honestly, the whole vibe is that the consultant is really bad... When I searched BYB, there was another review besides mine saying the consultant was bad, but the doctor is the one doing the surgery, is the consultant doing the surgery?;: It's not about the money. I think it's something I can ask from a patient's perspective, but their response and attitude were bad, so even if the surgery went well that would be fortunate, but because I believed that even if something went wrong, their response probably wouldn't be good, I just ignored the KakaoTalk message.
