Leaving this rhinoplasty review for my records. The year before last, after having rhinoplasty at a large hospital, I had the silicone removed after 6 months due to inflammation. The “before” photo is the state where the autologous costal cartilage in the nasal tip was maintained and only the silicone had been removed! Then 6 months later, I went to a hospital specializing in autologous costal cartilage and underwent revision rhinoplasty using all autologous costal cartilage. September 2025 I went to consultations at several places, and this was the only place that said an autologous costal cartilage nasal bridge was possible. I told them I wanted a dramatic look. The asymmetry and the cut-looking columella were improved somewhat, but the nasal bridge and nasal tip height are the same .... Maybe it got absorbed in the meantime. Also, the area below the columella-philtrum border is sunken in, but they said it can’t be lowered any further .. They said nothing can be done about the alar rims either .. Every time I went for follow-ups, I mentioned my dissatisfaction with the nose height, and they said they would do an AS repair on the nasal tip with ear cartilage. The border between the nasal bridge and nasal tip is currently a bit shadowed and sunken in, so I’m worried whether filling only the nasal tip more might make it worse, or whether it might become an upturned, ski-slope nose .. I also wonder if I should have just done it with silicone .. I’m getting nasal tip reinforcement next month, and I’ll leave another review after that.
